Prophesy Of Pendor Best Units

Units

I am till trying to find out which is the best unit to have. Floris spoiled me by having an in game guide with trees of factions, but sadly Pendor does not have it.From looking at the wiki, it feels that it has been built from an older Pendor version and there are some differences now. Like for example the Noble Sarleon Adventurers, become Sarleon Square at arms and then Sarleon Knights. When I got adventures in game, they become Rogue Sarleon Noble Squires and then Knights. But their stats are different from that the wiki shows.Either I am getting the wrong base unit (do I have to be part of Sarleon to get the non rogue ones?) or something has chanced. Probably that's the case, cause I have seen at least Ravenstern Squire-at-Arms, which I got after a fight with some rogues or something.

Ravenstern: Ravenstern Rangers and Ravenstern Mounted Rangers are excellent archers. Kierguards and the Highlanders that upgrade from them are also decent.Empire: Armored Crossbowmen pack a punch and are better in melee than Ravenstern Rangers, but do not fire as fast. A mix of both is good. Legionaries and Gladiators are good, probably better than the Ravenstern infantry. Empire Armored Pikemen are okay, but spawn with a terrible Awlpike half the time.

Better when they have a halberd.Sarleon: Most of their stuff is pretty middle of the road. Sarleon Halberdiers are heavy hitting, albeit squishy infantry. I tend to go with them over Empire pikemen. Sarleon Armored Longbow men are one tier below Ravenstern Ranger, and sometimes spawn with an extra quiver.Fierdsvain: They have terrible archers and no cavalry. But the Armored Axemen and the Armored Huscarls they upgrade into, along with Berserkers, make them worth checking out.The D'shar: They have easy access to light cavalry and horse archers, but their infantry is what really shines.

Very nice mod, i found also some dialogs funny!Very good that there's a lot of new and though enemies!I've played a bit yesterday, i found 3 bugs:1) Recuits: they cost 20 even it's displayed 10. And for example if you have 70 it' displayed that you can buy 5 recruit but you pay 60 and get 3.2)I found an item called cracked covered round shield and it was unusable and not worth selling.3) Raiders axe. Its kept in the chest and it's strange. It's not texturized during battle and you see it again in the chest. It dish out an incredible amount of damage.

I speak of 120 with a starting character in an horse charge against well armoured guys. For compare: i was lucky to find also a balanced great axe (the one of 54 dmg), with that it was a lot if i inflict 30 dmg to these fellows. Like as if wihout texture it ignores armor (that would not be a bad idea for a ghost weapon! ).Anyway great mod!PS: first post, sorry for my writing but english isn't my first language!

I am glad you like the mod and the game.and thank you for the heads up on the textures. Your complete description of the raiders axe allowed me to find the problem and correct it in the data.

Apparently there were several axe's that were inadvertently doing piercing damage. The texture issue will be solved in the next patch in a day or two. I want to go through all the items and make sure that none have the same anomaly and fold any changes into that patch.Again, thanks and I am glad you are having fun!Saxondragon.
